As a Church of
England university college, King George IV and the Duke of
Wellington (then Prime Minister) founded King's College London
in 1829. All faiths and beliefs are now welcome among the
faculty and students. The college has expanded and flourished
due to mergers with other prestigious universities. Informally,
King's College London is known as "King's." It's a public
research university in the heart of London, with a slew of
research facilities and academic societies on its doorstep. It
is a constituent institution of the United Kingdom's federal the
University of London. Kings is England's third-oldest
university. King's College London has four campuses along the
Thames in central London and one in Denmark Hill, South London.
The King's College that exists today is the result of several mergers over
the years, including those with Queen Elizabeth College and
Chelsea College of Science and Technology in 1985, as well as
the Institute of Psychiatry and the United Medical and Dental
Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals. The college was
granted degree-awarding authority in its own right in 2003.
However, this authority remained unexecuted until 2007. The
college stated that all students beginning courses in September
2007 would be awarded degrees conferred by King's rather than
the University of London. However, the revised certificates
still mention King's as a constituent institution of the
University of London. In August 2007, all current students with
at least one year of study remaining were given the option of
receiving a University of London or a King's degree.
Academics at
King's College
King's
features students from more than 140 nations and an excellent
student union. Several schools provide services and facilities
to ensure students have a world-class learning experience. In
addition, efforts are made to connect students with the UK's
professional, political, legal, scientific, and cultural life.
In the United Kingdom, King's College is routinely listed among
the top 25 British universities. In all major
international university rankings on a worldwide scale, the
college is continuously listed among the top 100 world
universities. Students at King's have the flexibility and
opportunity to adapt their degree programs to their interests.
There are three types of degrees available: single honors, joint
honors, and significant/minor honors. All departments provide a
diverse choice of courses. In many areas, both teaching and
research degrees are available. The following

Admissions at
King's College
Students
applying to King's for undergraduate or bachelor's studies
should use The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service
(UCAS). A student can submit applications to five universities
at once, and you must apply before the deadline specified on the
website. Students can apply for postgraduate studies using
either an online form or a paper application.
The site
contains the majority of the information needed to apply for
undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as the rules
for the online application. Before applying, students should
thoroughly review the admission criteria, which vary according
to the program of study. Thus, it is critical that students
carefully review the entry prerequisites before applying. King's
accepts students from all around the world with various
qualifications.
Scholarships
at King's College
A scholarship
is a non-repayable financial aid that can be granted based on
academic accomplishment. The university provides a limited
number of scholarships to both domestic and international
students. In addition, most full-time 'home' students at King's
are eligible for my bursary and scholarship programs. Other
sources of external support are also available.
Every year, my
scholarship scheme awards 40 new scholarships to students who
excel in their academics and contribute to the student life of
their department, school, or college. All full-time first-year
undergraduate students will be immediately eligible for my
scholarship scheme at the end of the academic year, and my
scholarship awards will be distributed across all departments of
study at King's.

Accommodation
at King's College
All students
who apply to King's College for full-time programs are eligible
for kings' accommodation choices. Students can apply for a place
in one of the University of London residence halls, which gives
a fantastic chance to engage with students from all of the
University's colleges. Full-time University students have access
to eight Intercollegiate Halls of Residence. The Residence is
conveniently located near the college's main teaching campuses.
When students accept a university offer, they are usually given
information on where they will live.
Student Life
at King's College, London
London is a
multifaceted city with several options for students to make the
most of their time in the capital. London is a global hub for
cultural, business, political, media, legal, and sporting
events, drawing the brightest minds from all over the world. The
size and population of the city may deter prospective students.
Still, London comprises several towns, each with unique features
and hidden gems - there truly is something for everyone here. You can
continue your studies beyond school with the city's numerous
museums, universities, and institutes. London prices put many
people off, but with so many part-time jobs available, the
capital offers a cost-effective study option. Also, keep in mind
that the city provides the highest wages in the country, but
London graduates top the national tables for the highest
graduate starting salaries.
